Form Description: Small, ephemeral herb with few, linear leaves, 2-4mm long, which are arranged in a basal rosette.

Height (m): 0.015 – 0.06

Flowers: Small, white with a tinge of pale pink, and situated at the top of the erect flowering stems.

Fruit: Capsule – dry, narrow, circular, taper towards the base, 5-8mm long. Turn from green to tan-brown, and become brittle as they ripen. Seeds are brown, 0.2mm long and pointed at both ends. Seeds tend to ripen progressively along the flower stem. Hundreds of fine seed per fruiting stem.
