Seed Information

Seed Collection

Difficult to grow from seed. Seed capsules to 3mm wide release brownish-black small seeds from valves when mature. Close monitoring is needed. Fruit become brown and dry at maturity and are cut from the plant. Nearly mature fruit can be bagged.

Cold Some species require exposure to cold before they germinate. These species are best sown in early winter and left to germinate in a shade house.
