General Notes
Propagation opinions vary: Not commonly cultivated but probably best grown from seed (Collier P., Society for Growing Australian Plants). Usually grown from cuttings (Ralph M). No difficulty from cuttings on heat and mist; no more difficult to prick out than other Ericaceae cuttings (Plants of Tasmania Nursery). A well-composted peaty soil is essential and care should be taken to prevent plants from drying out. Full sun or part shade needed and plants need good drainage. Prune to encourage branching. Susceptible to Phytophthora cinnamomi.

Standard Scatter seed thinly on to damp potting mix. Hold seed in place by covering with more potting mix to approximately the depth of the seed size.
Seed Treatment Notes
Difficult to grow from seed. Smoke treatment may improve results.
