Form Description: Slender greenhood; 3-5 dark-green, fleshy leaves in a loose rosette or scattered up the scabrous (rough) stem.

Flowers: Single, narrow green and white-striped flower; a deeply notched sinus and erect free points extending just above the hood. Darker green curved labellum protruding prominently from the sinus in the set position.

Seed Treatment Notes

Orchid seeds are very minute yellow, brown or blackish dust-like particles. Orchid seeds are produced within a capsule that splits at maturity and releases thousands to millions of seeds. Dispersed by wind and water and only germinate following infection of the embryo by a suitable mycorrhizal fungus. Very few seeds become mature plants.
