Form Description: A tiny, multiflowered midget greenhood with 4-6 broad, dark-green leaves, tapered at each end, forming a rosette at the base.
Height (m): 0.03 – 0.08
Flowers: 2-7 densely crowded, green flowers with darker green veins, irregularly toothed petal margins, lateral sepals deeply pouched. Light-green labellum, oblong with a darker recurved appendage and a short, narrow central ridge.

Restricted to a few areas around Arthur River in Tasmania’s north-west, growing on both dry coastal dunes and moister wet heathland sites.

Orchid seeds are very minute yellow, brown or blackish dust-like particles. Orchid seeds are produced within a capsule that splits at maturity and releases thousands to millions of seeds. Dispersed by wind and water and only germinate following infection of the embryo by a suitable mycorrhizal fungus. Very few seeds become mature plants.
