Form Description: A small, slender autumn-winter flowering tiny greenhood; 3-10 bright green, oval leaves form a basal rosette with 2-5 leaves closely sheathing the stem.

Height (m): 0.08 – 0.25

Flowers: 1-6 tiny, inwardly-facing, green and white-striped flowers (occasionally brownish at apex). Lateral sepals not protruding above the hood. Labellum can sometimes just be seen protruding from the sinus.

Seed Treatment Notes

Orchid seeds are very minute yellow, brown or blackish dust-like particles. Orchid seeds are produced within a capsule that splits at maturity and releases thousands to millions of seeds. Dispersed by wind and water and only germinate following infection of the embryo by a suitable mycorrhizal fungus. Very few seeds become mature plants.
