Seed Information

Seed Collection

Collection by stocking bag method is recommended. If hand collecting, cut, don’t pick. Monitor carefully. To extract seed dry capsules, then rub against a fine wire screen.

Seed Treatment Method

Hot Water Hot water is used to soften the hard seed case of some species. This replicates the weathering process. Pour hot (not boiling) water over the seeds and allow them to soak for 4-12 hours.

Pour hot water (just off boiling) over seed and soak for 12 to 24 hours before sowing.
