General Notes
Will grow in alkaline or acidic soils, prefer semi-shade but will grow in full sun. Flowers winter/spring, also sporadically at other times. Tip pruning of young plants, also immediately after flowering, will create a bushy framework. Bird attracting. Resistant to Phytophthora cinnamomi.

When seed is mature the achenes loosen in the centre of the seed heads which appear fluffy. Collect entire seed heads into paper bags and allow to dry. Rub and sieve.
