Seed Information

Seed Collection

Collection timing is critical as the follicle splits releasing the seeds as soon as mature.

Seed Treatment Method

Standard Scatter seed thinly on to damp potting mix. Hold seed in place by covering with more potting mix to approximately the depth of the seed size.

Seed Treatment Notes

Seed is best sown fresh. Produces large quantities of seed which propagate readily. Seedling growth is slow.

Germination Time

3-6 weeks

Cutting & Division Information

Spread by underground rhizomes. Can be propagated from cuttings. Should root in 4-6 weeks on heat and mist.
