Propagation Method
Seed Information
Seed Collection
Seed collection throughout the year as seed is retained on plant for long periods. Seed is not usually released until the plant meets with adversity such as drought, fire or injury.
Seed Treatment Method
Standard Scatter seed thinly on to damp potting mix. Hold seed in place by covering with more potting mix to approximately the depth of the seed size.
Seed Treatment Notes
Very tiny seeds need to be kept quite moist during germination. Capillary watering recommended.
Germination Time
2-4 weeks
Cutting & Division Information
From tip cuttings. Unless a special form is required, seed is a far better way to propagate Leptospermum grandiflorum.
