Habitat Notes

Local in the islands of the Hogan Group and possibly other islands in Bass Strait. Found mainly on sandy soils amongst granitic rocks or limestone, fairly common on cliffs.

General Notes

When seed is mature achenes loosen in centre of the head which develops a fluffy appearance. Collect entire seed heads in paper bags and allow to dry.
