Fruit: Papery capsule – splits into 4 segments each containing one brownish seed 2-3mm long.

Very local distribution in three widely separated areas in the north. Pink form at Rocky Cape, white form above Bakers Beach.

Seed Information

Seed Collection

Closely monitor or bag immature fruits. To collect, cut mature fruits, dry to extract seed and sieve to clean. Inoculate with soil from around parent plant.

Seed Treatment Method

Standard Scatter seed thinly on to damp potting mix. Hold seed in place by covering with more potting mix to approximately the depth of the seed size.

Seed Treatment Notes

L. baueri has poor germination results. Some species improve after dry heat treatment.
