Seed Treatment Method

Hot Water Hot water is used to soften the hard seed case of some species. This replicates the weathering process. Pour hot (not boiling) water over the seeds and allow them to soak for 4-12 hours.

Cutting & Division Information

Easily propagated from cuttings. (Soft-stemmed cuttings have been struck in water. Cuttings between 250 and 300 mms were stripped of leaves on that part of the stem to be immersed, and from the part not immersed, only a few removed. [Eucryphia 3/1998])
