Habitat Notes

Widespread but occasional in alpine shrubberies, shrubby sub-alpine heaths, open forests and riparian scrub; mostly on soils derived from sandstones or dolerite, from sea-level to about 1000m.

Seed Information

Seed Collection

Seed is released at maturity. The seed should be stored with a dusting of fungicide and insecticide. Storage at 4°C will prolong seed viability for up to 5 years.

Seed Treatment Method

Standard Scatter seed thinly on to damp potting mix. Hold seed in place by covering with more potting mix to approximately the depth of the seed size.
