Form Description: Small to medium woodland tree, often with obvious forked branches, and small, rounded, bluish-green, stalkless leaves which occur in opposite pairs along the stem. Leaves: Juvenile – round with an indented apex and a heart-shaped base, glaucous blue. Adult – lanceolate to ovate, green to glaucous. Concolorous. Bark: Rough and scaly at the base but smooth pinkish-grey above.

Flowers: Flowers are stalkless, in clusters of 3 and are borne in the axils.
Fruit: Woody capsules – slightly bent at the tip like a hook with waxy bloom; capsule glaucous, 7-9mm long.
