Form Description: Shrubby mallee or sometimes a small tree. Leaves: Juvenile – elliptical with marked oil glands on a short petiole. Adult – lanceolate, green and glossy. Concolorous. Bark: Smooth copper to light grey, sheds in ribbons.

Flowers: 7-flowered umbels.
Fruit: Woody capsule – cup-shaped to cylindrical with a narrow disc slightly sunken; usually 3 valves.

Forms small stands in well-drained rocky situations in the east of the State. Confined to shallow soils on dolerite rock outcrops.

General Notes
An informal and ornamental small eucalypt for the smaller garden, easily kept small by minimal tip pruning. Graceful and very hardy. Being a mallee type tree it makes an excellent low windbreak. Bird attracting.
