Seed Information

Seed Treatment Method

Soaking Soak seed in water for 8-12 hours, changing the water 2-3 times.

Seed Treatment Notes

May be grown from seed but plants are difficult to grow on to flowering size. Soak the fruits till soft then mash while still in the water and allow to sit overnight. Seed should collect on the bottom of the container, with the pulp remaining on the surface. Temperature may be critical in germination i.e. not over 18°C (Andrew Stevenson, Wildseed Tasmania). Sow in Autumn. Frost exposure may be worth trying.
