Seed Information

Seed Collection

Seed is black when ripe.

Seed Treatment Method

Standard Scatter seed thinly on to damp potting mix. Hold seed in place by covering with more potting mix to approximately the depth of the seed size.

Seed Treatment Notes

Surface sow the fine dust-like seed in autumn. Capillary watering is recommended. The tiny seedlings may be susceptible to weed competition.

Cutting & Division Information

From leaf cuttings: leaves are pinned down on moist bed of sphagnum moss and plantlets are formed at leaf divisions. Or propagate from stem cuttings. This is the easiest of the Droseras.
