Form Description: Branched creeping grass, with rhizomes more than 1m long, and narrow leaf blades up to 5cm long. Old leaf sheaths are persistent.

Flowers: Flower heads are 2.5-5cm long, and terminal on upright leafy stems. Male and female flowers occur on separate plants. Flowers in spring, or in response to rain.
