Form Description: Rigid, much-branched shrub.

Flowers: Pea flower with petals light-yellow or deep reddish-orange, purplish at the base.

Fruit: Seed pod – triangular, flat, about 10mm long. Seed pods turn brown and become brittle when ripe. Each pod usually contains one seed which turns from green to black on maturity.

Habitat Notes

Widespread and frequent in a range of lowland habitats.

General Notes

Bird attracting. The prickly foliage provides good refuge sites for small birds and has a richer flower colour than the other Daviesias. Susceptible to browsing by hares and rabbits.
