Form Description: Shrub with grey-green, blunt-tipped leaves, 1-4cm long. The stems and leaves are covered with minute hairs, which give them a sandpaper texture and yellowish appearance.

Flowers: Creamy flowers with prominent purple stripes, occurring in groups of 1-3 towards the ends of the branches.

Fruit: Capsule – reddish-brown; usually 4 reddish-brown seeds about 2.5mm long.

Habitat Notes

In gullies and on hillsides, on the east coast.

General Notes

Requires pruning to retain bushy shape. Usually present after fire, when it appears in large numbers and lives for about 10 years.
