Widespread and locally frequent on roadsides and in sparse vegetation on dry hillsides and paddocks.

General Notes

Will grow in a wide range of soils and climatic conditions. Prefers soils rich in humus but will not survive in permanently wet sites. Used by early settlers as an ointment to treat wounds. Leaves were combined with lard.
