Seed Information

Seed Collection

Capsule splits on maturity ejecting seeds. Only 1-2 weeks between ripening of first and last seeds. Monitor carefully. Cut mature capsules; dry until open to release seed which is dull black. Clean with fine sieve.

Seed Treatment Method

Standard Scatter seed thinly on to damp potting mix. Hold seed in place by covering with more potting mix to approximately the depth of the seed size.

Most species are very difficult to grow from seed however this species is reportedly easier and should have good results from fresh seed in four weeks.
