Form Description: Mat-forming, succulent herb with trailing main stems which root at the nodes, and erect lateral stems. Leaves are spoon-shaped to lance-shaped, reddish at the base, and about 3mm long and 1-1.5mm wide.

Flowers: Flowers have white petals and pink sepals, and occur singly in the upper leaf axils, on stalks up to 2cm long.

Fruit: Seed follicles containing 4 seeds, 0.8mm long, roughly oval with a base or tip which seems to have been cut straight across.

Littoral zone on coastal beach rock stacks, on humic sandy soils on rocky shores, and on thin peaty soil on beach pebbles, often near fresh water pools and runoff.
