Form Description: Dwarf cushion plant, forming a dense mat, 2-10cm diameter. Leaves to 0.5cm rigid, spreading, ending in a sharp point.

Flowers: Small, cream, solitary; no petals; sepals usually 5.

Fruit: Capsule opening by valves as many as there are sepals. Seeds numerous.
