Form Description: Trailing or twining perennial herb with slender, far-spreading rhizomes. Stems branched, trailing and prostrate, up to 50cm long. Leaves are kidney or heart-shaped.
Flowers: Funnel-shaped white, pale pink or purplish flowers with yellow centres, 2.5-4cm long.

Coastal sands in the north-east, granite soils and coastal grasslands which have been grazed.
General Notes
Tolerant of high salt loads and dry conditions. Dispersed by ocean currents and found on coastlines around the world.

Propagation by seed, division of runners and suckers. Seeds are large and easily collected.
Seed Treatment Method
Soaking Soak seed in water for 8-12 hours, changing the water 2-3 times.
Seed Treatment Notes
Nick seed to a depth of 1mm, treat with dry heat at 60-70°C for 30 minutes or soak for 16 hours in warm to hot water.
