Habitat Notes

Abundant from sub-alpine woodland downwards wherever sufficient light and moisture are available. In areas of high rainfall on the west coast can grow to 6m high growing with and over other shrubs.

Seed Treatment Method

Standard Scatter seed thinly on to damp potting mix. Hold seed in place by covering with more potting mix to approximately the depth of the seed size.

Seed Treatment Notes

Gives best results when seed sown fresh. Give seed a light covering and sow at 20-25°C. Capillary watering may be useful due to the fine seed.
