Seed Information

Seed Collection

Seeds should release from heads easily if gentle pressure is applied when seed is mature. Harvest by cutting stalks. To extract seed rub the heads between two rubber car mats or between hands. Sieve to clean.

Seed Treatment Method

Standard Scatter seed thinly on to damp potting mix. Hold seed in place by covering with more potting mix to approximately the depth of the seed size.

Seed Treatment Notes

Seed may need to be stored for up to 3 months. Store in jars as mice may be attracted to the seed. Suitable for direct seeding.
