Seed Information

Seed Collection

Seed heads are open and branched and contain numerous small seeds. Harvest by cutting stalks with secateurs. If seed drops from seed head when head is gently rubbed between fingers, the seed is ripe. Sieve to clean.

Seed Treatment Method

Standard Scatter seed thinly on to damp potting mix. Hold seed in place by covering with more potting mix to approximately the depth of the seed size.

Seed Treatment Notes

Seed may need to be stored for up to 3 months. Store in jars as mice may be attracted to the seed. Suitable for direct seeding.

Germination Time

2-3 weeks
